Lots of Drawing

Nathan and Reagan have been really into coloring and drawing lately. We took some of our Uhaul Wrapping paper (God knows we have enough of it from how many times we have moved - ha ha!) and we have been spreading it across their little folding table so that they can color. Mom has been doing three or four layers of wrapping paper and taping it down so that she can rip off the top piece when it gets overloaded with color. We also got Doodle Pros for the kids this week. They work with a magnetic pen (kinda like an Etch a Sketch) and when you are all done drawing you can wipe them clean with the flip of a switch and start all over again. Of course the kids still love their Aqua Doodle and good old fashion crayons too.

We also went out to eat as a family for the first time since Riley was born. We have gone to a restaurant over the holidays but we had other adults there to help, so this was our first trip by ourselves. We went to Eat'n Park which is great family restaurant known for their Smiley Cookies. We did breakfast there and all three kids did fantastic! We sat at a booth and Nate and Reagan used booster seats for the first time. We had those coloring place mats that adhered to the table and the kids just colored the entire time. We manged to gets some eggs, cantaloupe, cheerios and bacon in them while they were distracted coloring. Riley of course had a bottle of formula and then took a quick snooze while the rest of us ate. It was such a pleasant experience for once - YAY! There have been so many times in the past that we have gone out to eat where the kids were crying, food was flying and mom and dad barely got a second to enjoy a single bite of food. So this was such a relief to know that things are getting easier and we CAN go out for breakfast and enjoy ourselves....YAY US!!!!!
