It was really nice out today with the temperature in the 60's, so we busted out the sidewalk chalk and had some fun on the driveway. Nathan mostly drew lines but whenever we gave him a piece of chalk in each had he made lots of arrows. He also attempted to draw on the big red minivan but John stopped him before he had a chance. Nathan did his share of running in the yard too. He did really well when we told him to stop running, in fact we only had to take after him twice. the rest of the time he came right back when we asked him too and that is a big improvement over last summer. Reagan was more interested in the sticks and twigs laying around than she was in the sidewalk chalk or running around. I thought that was kinda funny because the dog was also very interested in the sticks and twigs. Riley sat in her bouncer chair and just enjoyed the fresh air while the rest of played.Tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day so we are planning to head over to the playground and spend sometime outside again. Gram mentioned that she may be driving in for a few days next week and it sounds like she will be bringing the kids water table and possibly their sandbox too. John and I are starting to look at swing sets for the kids now that we got word of what our tax refund will be and the weather is getting warmer. We will most likely be getting a wooden swing set, and we want a nice long slide, room for 3 swings and it will need to fit in the space we have. We have a nice sized backyard but only a very small portion of the backyard is flat.
Nathan is getting his blood drawn tomorrow to test for diabetes. We really don't think he has diabetes but we figured that we had enough reason to check. Anyone that has spent a day with the little guy knows how much he drinks. We have also noticed an increase in the times that he wakes up and shortly after his lip is quivering. It very well may be that Nathan just likes to drink and that there is some other explanation for the quivering lip like anxiety or just being cold, but we thought that we would get him checked out anyway just to be sure.
