A little Nathan....

So Nathan is one busy little man. His TSS hours are up to 20 per week and he is still getting 4 hours of other therapy each week. It is a difficult adjustment for him. He cries and latches onto my leg every time a therapist walks in the door and it breaks my heart. Although the girls tell me that once he is downstairs and away from me, he calms down right away (thank goodness!)

I really like the team of therapists that we have right now. I think there are 9 of them??? They are all so different with some being calm and relaxed while others are upbeat and animated. I think we have a great mix.

I have worked really hard on creating a PEC book for him to learn how to communicate by using pictures. The pictures have velcro backs so that they can be removed and put back in place. I just started to work with Nathan yesterday on getting him familiar with what the PECS mean. As you can see by the video, he understands the PECS immediately and he is so very proud of himself and SO AM I!

Riley is 9 months old

Riley turned 9 months old on July 14th. I am guessing that she is about 20 lbs and 29 inches. Her check up is set up for the 20th so we will find out soon enough. She is crawling, cruising and starting to climb up on furniture. She can even walk a few steps with her walker.

We had a garage sale last weekend and look who daddy was trying to sell.....
Didn't he realize she was in the wrong box?

4th of July

The 4th of July was a pretty easy and relaxed day. In the morning the kids went for a ride around the neighborhood and then we played outside. After naps we headed to the township park where they had inflatable bounce houses. Reagan didn't care much for the bounce house. She made her exit after about one minute. Nathan lasted the entire time and really liked it. Dad eventually had to reach in to get him out.

You can tell we are leaving the park by the look on Nathan's face

Daddy and Rae had some quality one on one time and they did pictures at the mall.

Some pics from early in the week.
