This has been a pretty busy week. On Tuesday we took Nate and Reagan to a toddler gym called The Playzone about 15 minutes from our house. They got to run around, climb and play on foam mats. They had a lot of fun and we are thinking about getting a membership for the summer.
This week we have also started to teach the kids how to go down the steps. They have been climbing up for sometime now but this week they quickly got the hang of going down the steps too. Reagan has a slight lead in this department. She goes down on her bottom or as we call it "Boop-Boops" and she is REALLY good at it. Nate fluctuates between going down on his bottom and walking down like a big boy. He isn't quite as steady as Reagan so we really have to keep an eye on him.
We purchased a baby pool on Saturday and the kids got to use it that night and again today. As usual, Nate LOVED splashing like a wild man. We got an Elephant Sprinkler and Nate would stand right in front of the freezing cold water that was shooting out and open his mouth....What a goofball!!! We did all this in a bit of a rush so we didn't get any video or pictures but there will be plenty more days of summer heat so I'm sure that we will get some good shots.
Mommy and Daddy rearranged the kitchen this weekend and set up booster seats so that the kids can eat at the Big Table with us. They did great for lunch with Daddy but their 2nd meal ended up on the floor. I think it is just going to take some practice and getting used to eating without the highchair and trays.
Lastly we did some finger painting tonight on the kids new Picnic table. Reagan really seemed to like it but Nate (the typical boy) just kept eating it. I don't get it, food goes on the floor but sand, crayons and finger paint he eats???
Oh well, that's it for now!
