Balance Bikes

We have had these balance bikes for about a month or so. They are tiny little bikes without pedals. The kids just use their feet to move and once they get comfortable with it they are able to pick up their feet and coast. The goal of all this is to help them be able to learn to balance and then easily transition to a regular bike without training wheels.

Here are a few videos. Please excuse my ridiculous voice along with the shaky camera (remember I am pushing a stroller, taking a video and watching a bunch of kids LOL).

Halloween - Part 2

The pics from Trick or Treat night ended up being a little blurry most likely because of the bad lighting. Got some good pictures today at the Halloween parade in Sewickley.

Halloween - Part 1

Tonight was trick or treat night. Aunt Shirley and Uncle Chuck came over to watch Kaycee and hand out candy while John and I went out with the big kids. They were all so very cute. It was amazing that all three kids knew what to do and said trick or treat and thank you appropriately. Reagan showed a lot of stamina and she and John lasted the longest. I am hoping to get a few more pics of the kids in their costumes to post...so hopefully there is more to come.

Riley's Party!!!

We finally celebrated Riley's Birthday! It was a beautiful day. It was incredibly warm for late October (almost reached 70 degrees). We had our neighbors and some friends join us for cake and then we all played outside. The kids were all tired out by the end and didn't even put up a fight for nap time.

Riley's 2nd Birthday & Kaycee's 6 mth Stats

Amazing that 2 years have flown by so fast. Riley has turned 2 (even though I'm sure she thinks she is the same age as the twins). We don't have a party planned until next weekend when things settle down.

Riley - 25lbs (25th-50th percentile)
35" (75th-90th percentile)

Kaycee - 14lbs (10th-25th percentile)
25" (25th percentile)

Even though it was cold, my kids proved that it is never TOO cold to have fun in a the bounce house.

Grandma and Grandpa's

The above pic is from a few weeks back. It was Geoffrey the Giraffe's Birthday at Toys R Us. I originally just took the girls but Reagan was upset because my phone battery lost it's charge and I couldn't take a picture. So we went home picked up the phone charger and Nathan. It was a really nice event. They had some free toys giveaways for the kids and we picked up a couple of TRIO block sets.

The rest of the pictures are from our trip to Grandma's house. I forgot the camera so these are all from my phone and probably not the best, but hey it's something.

At grandma and grandpa's house we spent lots of time playing outside with our Uncle Larry and his girlfriend Bobbi.

We spent two days at a pumpkin patch. The kids fed animals, climbed on playground equipment, went through a big corn maze and a tiny straw maze, dug for treasures in a sand pit, rode amusement rides like airplanes and trains, and went on a hay ride. We even met up with a friend of mine and her 3 year old little girl.

October is HERE!

The big kids, Miss Jessica and I went to the pumpkin patch this weekend. There was a hay ride, face painting, petting zoo, haunted house, corn maze and a few other things. Only the twins did the face painting and pony ride. When I asked Ry if she wanted to ride the pony she responded with "More Cheese-itz"....apparently when you are 2 yrs old cheese flavored crackers trump pony rides LOL!

And my baby girl is now a whopping 6 months old!!!! I can't believe how fast the last 6 months have gone by. Kaycee is eating some fruits and cereal, she has 3 teeth on the bottom, she can sit on her own for about 30 seconds before she topples over. She loves chewing her green soothie pacifier and just about anything else she can get in her mouth including making her shirt sleeves sopping wet. Happy 6 month birthday my baby girl!
