Water table and lots more!

Well we had quite a busy day today. This morning Mommy took the kids for a long drive to go pick up our new Choo Choo Wagon. This wagon will be perfect for us because both Nate and Reagan will have their own seat with seat belt and cup holder. It also came with an additional seat that can be added or removed so it is perfect for holding our diaper bag for when we take trips to the Zoo or Park. We didn't get to use it today, but we will be trying it out very soon.

Since Nate had so much fun with the Water Table at the Children's Museum, Daddy bought one for the kids yesterday and today we got to try it out. It was really muddy outside from all the rain so we opted to just try it out in the Kitchen.....Not the best idea! The kids had lots of fun but the floor was soaked. We put a foam mat underneath but Nate went walking around, slipped on the wet floor and fell. He is totally okay but we will be taking the Water Table outside from now on.

Daddy also worked his butt off this morning making a Sandbox for the twins. It is a pretty good size so both of the kids should be able to sit inside of it and play. In fact it is bigger than Daddy anticipated and he needs to get some more sand tomorrow. Again we didn't get a chance to try it out just yet, which was probably a good idea with all the mud outside. We are really hoping that the sun stays out to dry things up a bit so we can get outside and play. We know that Reagan loved the Sandbox at the Children's Museum so we can't wait for her to dig and play in her new sandbox at home.

I also thought that everyone would get a kick out of my poor Living Room. The kids have totally taken over and Mom and Dad have lost control. You may remember that the kids started to climb up on the sofa a few weeks ago, well now they spend most of their time up there. This means that Mommy can't keep them from hanging and pulling on her drapes so she and Daddy have created a new trend called "Ugly tied up in a Knot Drapes". What do you think? Will this look catch on with interior designers?

The other thing that has happened since the kiddos are spending so much time on the sofa is a floor FULL of cushions. The kids do take a number of spills off the couch especially when they are on the Chase part of it. So again we have created a new and wonderful look with a variety of colored and patterned cushions that surround the sofa all over the floor. I like to call it our "We can Never Have Company over Again Floor". I'm not sure if this look will catch on with designers but it does make a nice soft place to sit when you are playing on the floor.
