Our First Real Party

On Saturday Nathan and Reagan turned exactly 18 months and our friend Melanie's little girl celebrated her First Birthday

We all had a really good time. There was a water table, bubbles, swings and sidewalk chalk to play with at the party. Nathan basically took over the water table as usual and was soaking wet the entire time. When he wasn't focusing on splashing he was running around like a wild man and got some scrapes on his knees just like the typical boy that he is.

Reagan was a tiny bit more lady-like but she enjoyed splashing in the water and gave the sidewalk chalk a good try until she discovered that it was more fun to eat it.

The birthday girl amazed me in that she is now walking. When she came to visit 3 weeks ago she was just starting to get comfortable on her feet. It is amazing how fast they learn.

We did end up leaving the party in a bit of a hurry because Nathan got sick after staying on the swing too long. Then while Daddy was changing him, he managed to pee all over Daddy's shorts. Melanie and her husband Chris were so nice and they even gave John some clean shorts to borrow for the drive home. All in all it was a great time and I am so glad that we got to celebrate Sarah's 1st Birthday with all of her family and friends.
