We finally made it to the splash pad this year. They expanded the area and I was pleasantly surprised to see just how big they made it. The kid's didn't seem to remember it from last year but they still enjoyed it. Reagan is definitely the most conservative when it comes to water play. She reminds me of one of those girls who doesn't want to get her hair wet for fear that something will look out of place. The other 3 kids don't have a care in the world when it comes to water play, they are there to get wet!

The above pictures were from Father's Day. We went to the local park where they had a train ride for the kids, tattoos and a free picnic lunch. Everyone had a really nice time. The kids really liked the tattoos and didn't want to wash them off.

Kaycee is Walking!

At 14 months old she is finally walking! She really had us all fooled. We had early intervention out here a few times because even her pediatrician was concerned about her muscle tone. I guess she was just doing things on her own time table. Needless to say we had a lovely Occupational Therapist visit for about 30 minutes before Kaycee was completely discharged LOL!

Kaycee isn't talking yet but she mimics a lot of sounds and she loves to clap, wave and point. She is such a petite little girl. She is still wearing some 6 month clothing. She has 9 teeth and loves to eat crackers and chicken nuggets. She is a little princess and her laugh is contagious especially when she does her Revenge of the Nerds laugh.

Waterslide

We are having a fantastic visit from GG. The kids were able to cool off on our new inflatable slide during the crazy heat wave. The slide was so much fun and there was plenty of room for the adults to sit down and cool off too. We also made it out to a real swimming pool! I can't tell you how nervous I am when it comes to swimming pools. From day one I have been outnumbered. I have only done swimming trips when I have one or two extra hands and even then it is nerve wracking. The kids have new Puddle Jumper life jackets, or as they call them "Dragon Floaties" and they gave me such peace of mind. They are coast guard approved life jackets and so much better than those darn swim rings we used last year. The big kids did numerous laps in the big pool all by themselves and they were so very proud to be swimming on their own. Of course GG and Aunt Shirley were there to lend a hand so it was a very relaxed pool trip. We also did a trip to the Children's Museum and went to the petting zoo. I have to say that GG and I are exhausted but for some reason the kids keep going like little Energizer bunnies.

Little Kaycee is walking! She can take about 30 steps. She can even make it around a corner and bend down & get back up. She is still doing more crawling than walking but I know that will change very soon. I promise to get a video of her on the blog ASAP.

Bunny Pictures

I was smart this year. This past Halloween I realized that one night of trick-or-treating was just not enough for my crew. So I made the assumption that one egg hunt would not be enough either. I had about 4 or 5 egg hunts lined up with the intention that we would likely get to maybe 3 of them with the weather being as unpredictable as it's been. Well Easter is a few days away and so far we have done 2 egg hunts and the kids saw two Easter Bunnies.

Riley was scared of the first bunny at the mall and I can't blame her they are a little scary looking. Kaycee didn't know what was going on until bunny #2 and that's when her tears set in. The twins actually LOVED both bunnies. I wasn't sure we would ever get out of there because they were hugging him, talking to him, picking him dandelions LOL!

Kaycee's 1st Birthday!

Amazing! My little miss is a year old!

She is a lightening fast crawler.
She pulls to a stand and cruisies but has yet to let go.
She is not a fan of table food unless it is a cheerio or a cookie.
She has 4 teeth on the top and 4 on the bottom.
She is a tiny little thing.
Weight - 17.5 lbs - less than 5th percentile
Length - 28.5" - 25th percentile
